OAMPS has a long history of involvement in Motorsport insurance, previously as Fairmont Motorsport Insurance.  We specialise in Public Liability insurance for Teams and Circuit Owners, Products Liability for manufacturers and engineering companies, and Personal Accident cover for drivers. We operate schemes for driver's Personal Accident and Medical insurance, as well as Race Car & Trailer insurance, covering storage & transit for race cars, trailers and tools. Proposal Form

Section 1 - Race Car Cover

All risks of physical loss or damage, to the insured race car whilst -
1. in storage in a locked garage
2. in transit to and from a circuit in the UK or Europe
3. at a circuit, anywhere in the UK or Europe

Section 2 - Trailer Cover

All risks of physical loss or damage to the insured trailer whilst -
1. in storage
2. in transit to and from a circuit in the UK or Europe
3. at a circuit, anywhere in the UK or Europe

Section 3 - Spares, Tools and Equipment Cover

All risks or physical loss or damage to the insured spares, tools and equipment up to a maximum value of £5,000 whilst -
1. in storage in a locked garage
2. in transit to and from a circuit in the UK or Europe
3. at a circuit, anywhere in the UK or Europe

Premiums:

Sections 1 & 2

Car valued up to £25,000 and:

Section 3 - Automatically included within sections 1 & 2

All premiums inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax at 5.00%

Fees:

These fees are made in order to provide you with a first class service and cover administration costs for Race Car & Trailer Insurance.

We will apply an administration fee of no more than £15.00 for the set up of a new policy and every change we effect on your behalf. This includes renewals, and all mid-term policy adjustments including cancellations. In addition to the above, there will be a £15.00 fee if you misplace or lose your Certificate of Insurance or Cover Note, a £15.00 fee for the reissue of any policy documents for any other reason, and a £15.00 fee for payments not honoured by your bank. These charges will apply in addition to any charge levied by your insurer.

Main conditions:

1. An excess of £500.00 applies to each and every loss.
2. Trailers stored outside a locked garage are to be secured with a ‘sold secured' padlock and chained to a metal post cemented into the ground.
3. When in transit or at a circuit the vehicle and trailer are to be kept in a secure compound and must be fitted with a wheel clamp or mechanically immobilised.
4. The policy excludes damage to race cars whilst being driven under their own power or whilst on a race track, theft of tools from unattended / unoccupied vehicles and all liability in respect of use of vehicles where the Road Traffic Act or similar legislation applies.

This is an exclusively negotiated insurance product arranged by OAMPS Special Risks Ltd and underwritten by Lloyd's of London.
